Miracles Do Happen!

I am crying tears of joy as I type. Not good for my keyboard, but good for my soul! I am thrilled to report that because of every one's generosity and kindness, I have almost all of the money needed for Dakota's surgery! I am doing one serious happy dance!!

I called the vet and they are allowing me to bring it what I have. Some of the money is on it's way to the hospital via a check for $500, from a foundation that was contacted on my behalf by Bridget (Don't Blink) and her sister Brianna. A big hug to you both!!

Hugs to everyone for caring enough to help us out. I know how strapped everyone is and it means the world to me to be able to tell the kids when I pick them up today, that we get to save Dakota! You have not only saved our dog, but our sanity....and that is something that we don't have much of to begin with :) So praise God and pass the scalpel!!

Now that I'm in a good mood....should we do a poll on what we think they will find in Dakota's belly? I'm so curious to know!

That's great news!

We lost our dog, Buddy in August and it was, still is, the toughest thing for all of us. And the worst is getting that Vet bill a month later as you are still grieving...that was a punch to the gut - still trying to take care of that bill. ouch. I wish we could help too but money is so tight.

Glad Dakota will get the help she needs! HUGS!

Congrats!

As for the poll, I am going for the non-toy and saying Tampon. lol that would be more along the lines of a plot for your life story.

First thing you need to ask yourself is.... WHAT IS MISSING IN THIS HOUSE???? (thats probably what it is)

Good luck with the operation.

I am so happy!!!!!! We are still rallying for Dakota because I am sure there will be follow up visits to the vet and so on... won't stop getting the word out until you have it all and then some!
Have you checked your toilets? I bet it's the toilet "flush" handle! LOL
Love ya gal!!! You are the BEST!!

well you can thank my dad who just lent me some money so I figured, pay it forward...plus we lost our beloved Chou earlier this year, so I feel your pain.

On a hopefully lighter note...what kind of dog is Dakota? Chou was a Rottie and, while not a chewer, would go to town on anything that had sticky foodie kids prints on it...she ate the head off a Gymbo purse, a mirror (it was small) and a brand new pair of Robeez (minus the elastic)...I'm betting yours is...a Fisher Price Little People...
