I joke about being insane. I aptly named my blog after the fact that I'm a little nuts. I am willing to admit that I sometimes wonder if I will end up in the nut house. But... I've never had possible confirmation that I really am truly a wacko...until last Tuesday.
As you may know, Cherish and I met a reporter from the Daily Bulletin (a local news publication) and did an interview. The reporter, a mother of five herself, got such a kick out of our family. She was interested to know how we dealt with having so many and how I was able to stay sane. I laughed and admitted that I was a tad nutty. As we had a good chuckle she added, "Well, at least you don't have an eye twitch or something!"
I looked over at Cherish and we just cracked up because, as you also know, my eye does have a chronic twitch. Sure, it comes and goes, but never stays gone. Right now, it is worse than ever. I think it is a combination of the charity event stress, new business stress and being home with all of the kids stress. Is a twitch really a sign of insanity? Part of me wanted to cry when the reporter said that, but I was too busy laughing. Maybe I really am insane. Do insane people know that they are insane? Would anybody tell me if I was starting to sound nuts? Or would they all just whisper behind my back and encourage Daniel to place me in an institution? You guys would tell me... right?

I think that questioning your sanity is a good sign that you're okay. Crazy people never bother to question themselves...they're sure they're normal. That is my non professional opinion.
Tiffany is right;)
Kadi, you're insane!
Very funny! Somedays (like today) the stress of the 5 kids make my head hurt so badly I just KNOW some blood vessel is going to pop and I will literally lose my mind from it drowning in my own hemoglobin. I understand your fear!
Kadi,
i would be insane with 7 kids too!
I can't stand it when Comcast and hotmail do not get along. Love,
Christy
You are a tad nuts but that is why we love you! :) That comment still cracks me up!
In my humble opinion eye twitches are related to the amount of stress in one's life, not insanity!
I don't, nor have I ever gotten the 'insane' vibe from you. Especially, like mentioned previously, because you question whether you are or not. Awareness is sane.
Kadi we would tell you, but umm where's Daniel we need to speak to him for a second?
